The skilled whip rider can approach a ramp in one continuous "power carve" and then launch off its lip with authority. A straight shot at the ramp is not necessary anymore so the result is always is always "plenty of room to accelerate" as this rider will let the side forces, from the aggressive ramp carve, just dissipate in a big mid air whip. Do the same thing (and not let the bike dissipate its side force energies in a big whip) and you get a giant high side on landing. This is great stuff because no more do you have to worry about completing your turn, getting the bike perfectly vertical for your acceleration run at the ramp. Now its just one big carving turn under big power. Plenty of room and there is a big plus here too. You don't have to "drift wide" and land on your friend, who is on your outside, in order to find the momentum to clear the jump. You have all the runup you need now for any jump. Even take the inside-inside lines will allow plenty of time for the motor to hook up and rocket you off the end.
